For travel and planning purposes, the public schedule for this year’s symposium begins at approximately 5:30pm on Monday, May 18, and concludes at approximately 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 20. Note that this year’s symposium will be starting on a Monday as opposed to the usual Sunday start.

The NECPUC symposium this year will feature a focus on the topic of affordability, with planned panels on: 

• Affordability and the role of the regulator
• Harnessing markets to lower telecommunications costs for consumers
• Nuclear energy development in the New England context
• Regional approaches to driving affordability
• Hot and cold trends for affordable water
• BEAD funding and universal broadband 
• Demand response and flexible load as resources
• Rethinking default service
• Large loads and data centers

In addition, the symposium will include plenary sessions with FERC Commissioner David Rosner, FERC Commissioner Lindsay See, and recently-appointed ISO-New England CEO Vamsi Chadalavada.

As always, symposium registration includes most meals, as well as a number of sponsored receptions and breaks. This year’s event will include an optional ethics CLE session, and the program as a whole is expected to be eligible for general CLE credits, as has been the case in prior years.
